PROTEST like its 1773! National Tax Day Tea Party

The spirit is coming to Albany.

Are you an ordinary citizen?

Are you fed up with increasing taxes? Wasteful and out-of-control government spending?

Increasingly intrusive state and federal governments? Over-regulation? Corrupt career politicians?

If your answer to any of these is "YES" then you need to attend this rally!

This IS a rally for the Ordinary Citizen. It is not a campaign rally for politicians. It is not affiliated with any political party. It is simply... people.

This rally originated as an idea from Al Roney's radio show on 810 WGY and his Al Roney Listeners group on Facebook. It has since expanded to be associated with the Nationwide Tax Day Tea Party organization.

I wonder who these modern Sons of Liberty are gonna dress up like? The Dutch?

NXIVM files $65 million lawsuit over 2008 Metroland article

In an e-mail, Nancy Salzman, the president of NXIVM, stated: “Nxivm filed this suit . . . because of statutory considerations. We have not yet served Metroland or the other parties because it is always our position to attempt a more amicable resolution of differences and damages. We believe Metroland will engage in a meaningful dialogue with us relating to these issues.”

Angry state workers--watch out!

There are so few journalists left, the Albany Guild has to report on its own protest:

The state workers were stunned and angered at the news that the Company has threatened to cancel the Guild’s contract next Thursday. Inside the Empire State Plaza, many unions had gathered for the annual Lobby Day and were outraged at the Times Union’s treatment of its workers.
