The voting machine at the polling place for the 9th election district in the 5th Ward is broken, and the Albany County Board of Elections has known this since 12:30, a half-hour after the polls opened, according to election inspectors.
Two calls have been made to the Albany County Board of Elections asking that the machine be repaired. The scond time an election inspector called, she was told that the voters were just going to have to vote on emergency paper ballots.
